发音秘诀

/e/：短元音。发音时，舌尖抵下齿，舌前部稍抬起，但舌位比发/ɪ/宽，双唇向两边张开，唇形中长，嘴形扁平，上下齿间可容一食指，口形自然放松，发音短促。如：get/get/，friend/frend/，help/help/，bench/bentʃ/等。

/æ/：短元音。该音俗称梅花音。发音时，舌尖抵下齿，舌身低平，前舌稍高，但比其他前元音/ɪ/、/e/要低，口要张大，口开约三分之二，可以容纳食指和中指，双唇向两边伸张，稍扁，发这个音时咽喉要收缩。如：plan/plæn/，have/hæv/，action/'ækʃən/，man/mæn/等。

注意要点：/e/与/æ/是中国英语学习者的发音难点之一，发音时往往会出现以下问题：（1）很多人总是把这两个音发成汉字“唉”的音。这是由于发音时口腔肌肉过于紧张造成的，注意要将两颊肌肉足够放松。（2）容易将/e/错发成/I/，主要由于舌位偏高造成的，注意将舌位压低。（3）/æ/音发不好，容易和/e/混淆，是由于我们不习惯说话时把嘴张得那么大。实际发音时应注意将舌位压低，尽量把嘴向两边张大，好像要呕吐似的。（4）当/e//æ/与/n/连用时容易受到汉语的影响，在元音没发到位的时候就开始发鼻音，如：pen发成“盆”，把men发成“门”，我们在发音时应该注意先把元音/e/、/æ/发完整，也可故意拉长，发到位后再向辅音过渡。另外需要注意的是在美式音标中，/e/用/ɛ/表示，发音时舌高稍低，开口比英音要大些；发/æ/音时，英音比美音舌高稍低，发音部位靠后，而美音发音部位靠前，接近/ɛ/的发音。
